  "This afternoon, after a brief exchange of fire with the security forces, the Taliban entered the city of Farah. They have already occupied the governor's office and the police headquarters," Shahla Abubar, a member of the Farah Provincial Assembly, told AFP on the 10th.

  Local sources in Farah Province also confirmed to Al Jazeera that the Taliban had occupied the capital of the province.
