Taliban claims to occupy 7 cities within 5 days after occupying the capital of Farah Province, Afghanistan

　　China News Service, August 10th. According to foreign media reports on the 10th, the Taliban claimed to have occupied Farah City, the capital of Farah Province in southwestern Afghanistan. This is the seventh capital city occupied by the Taliban since the 6th.

　　"This afternoon, after a brief exchange of fire with the security forces, the Taliban entered the city of Farah. They have already occupied the governor's office and the police headquarters," Shahla Abubar, a member of the Farah Provincial Assembly, told AFP on the 10th.

　　Local sources in Farah Province also confirmed to Al Jazeera that the Taliban had occupied the capital of the province.
