“By strengthening sanctions against Belarus, Switzerland is aligning itself with various decisions taken in June by the European Union,” the statement said.

It is noted that an embargo was imposed on the supply of equipment to Belarus that can be used to track or intercept the Internet and telephone conversations.

Earlier, Belarusian President Alexander Lukashenko instructed the government of the republic to develop a set of additional measures against the next sanctions of the USA, Great Britain and Canada.
