For the second day, North Korea has not responded to South Korea's attempts to communicate.
An official from the Ministry of Unification confirmed that "the call to start the operation of the inter-Korean joint liaison office was not made at 9 am today."
A military official also said, "A regular call to the military communication lines in the East and West Sea areas did not take place at 9 am today," and "we are closely monitoring the situation."
