Macron warns of the "dramatic situation" in Guadeloupe and Martinique

Emmanuel Macron alerted this Wednesday, by opening a Health Defense Council, on the "dramatic situation" of the epidemic in the West Indies, where "the increase in contaminations results in an explosion of serious forms" of Covid-19 and a saturation of hospitals.

"An emergency scenario is before us today", this situation "implies the unconditional solidarity of the Nation" and offers "the cruel demonstration" that "vaccination is the most effective means" in the face of the virus, underlined the Head of State during this Defense Council by videoconference from Fort de Brégançon (Var).
