He stabbed the woman he had been living with for just a couple of weeks and then keeps her body at home for more than 24 hours, until in the evening he goes to the police station to turn himself in.
The victim is Marylin Pera, 39 years old.
The man, Marco De Frenza, 59, was placed in custody on charges of voluntary homicide.
The murderer, resident in Mede (Pavia), appears to have many precedents for crimes against property and the person.
After an initial interrogation of the investigators, the arrest was triggered.
The victim, a housewife, was the mother of a child from another union. The crime, about which few details have been learned at the moment, was allegedly committed in the bathroom of the woman's home, in Corso Novara 4 in Vigevano on Tuesday 10 August, around lunchtime.
