The Dubai Health Authority, in cooperation with the Dubai Corporation for Ambulance Services, and the Mohammed Bin Rashid University of Medicine and Health Sciences, announced the expansion of the home vaccination campaign to include citizens aged 50 years and above, people of determination and the elderly aged 60 years and above residing in the Emirate of Dubai, with the aim of alleviating them And spare them the need to go to health centers to get vaccinated, as part of the government’s ongoing efforts to accelerate recovery steps and immunize community members against “Covid-19,” and in line with the national vaccination plan.

The Executive Director of the Supportive Medical Services and Nursing Sector at the authority, head of the steering committee for the “Covid-19” vaccination, Dr. Farida Al Khaja, said that the expansion of the campaign came after the great successes it achieved in reaching senior citizens in their homes, which will contribute effectively to strengthening the authority’s efforts. To achieve its goals of providing protection for all segments of society, and reaching 100% of the target groups vaccinated, pointing out that the authority will provide, within this campaign, the Pfizer-Biontech vaccine for all target groups.

On the mechanism of benefiting from the service, Al Khaja added: “It is possible to book the service by direct communication with the Dubai Health Authority’s call center on the number 800242, and to provide proof of residence in the Emirate of Dubai regardless of the place of residence, after which the reservation is confirmed and the service is provided within 48 hours. Only an hour from the time of booking, calling on all citizens of Dubai who are 50 and over, and elderly residents of the emirate aged 60 and over, to take advantage of this initiative and throughout the week from eight in the morning until eight in the evening. ”

She explained that the authority, in cooperation with its strategic partners in this campaign, provided all the capabilities required to reach the target groups, as many mobile buses were allocated and equipped for this purpose, and an integrated team of trained and qualified nurses and supervisors was appointed for home vaccination according to the best international protocols and practices in this field, and within Required prevention and safety measures.

She stressed that the authority is continuing its expanded campaign to immunize all targets in society, enhance the elements of health security, and then contribute to accelerating the steps of recovery, as part of a strategic plan implemented by Dubai Health in cooperation and coordination with all concerned and relevant parties.
