The Lefortovo District Court of Moscow began considering the case on the fact of an accident in which the brother of the prize-winner of the Russian rhythmic gymnastics championships and model Natalia Bulycheva, Ivan, died.

As the lawyer of the family of the deceased, Pyotr Kharkhorin, told RT, the meeting lasted no more than half an hour.

“Today, at our request, Ivan's mother was recognized as a victim in the case.

After that, the court postponed the case to give her the opportunity to familiarize herself with the materials.

And if necessary, file your civil claim.

That is, to realize the rights of the victim ", - explained Kharkhorin

In his opinion, the woman should have long been recognized as a victim in the case.

The driver was sober

The fatal traffic accident occurred on January 8, 2021 at a tram stop on Krasnokazarmennaya Street.

As the lawyer said, that evening Ivan Bulychev was returning home from a quiz.

According to video footage from cameras in the tram and near the stop, at 23:37 he and two other passengers got off the car.

“The tram tracks in this place are located in the middle of the carriageway.

The car in the right lane stopped to let pedestrians pass.

But when they entered the left lane, a Skoda Octavia car crashed into them at high speed, ”the sister of the deceased told RT.

According to her, the main blow fell on Ivan - he was closest to the car.

“The collision was so strong that Vanya was thrown 20 meters away,” said Bulycheva.

“In addition, the car hit two other pedestrians - a married couple.

Both have head injuries, but the doctors managed to save them. "

Judging by the video recordings, the foreign car was moving along the left lane, without slowing down.

Later it turned out that Denis Zhuravlev, the son of the Deputy Head of the Department of Labor and Social Protection of the Population, was driving the car.

The officers of the State Traffic Inspectorate, who arrived at the scene, examined the driver for the state of drug and alcohol intoxication.

He was sober.

On the fact of the accident, a criminal case was initiated under Part 3 of Art.

264 of the Criminal Code of the Russian Federation "Violation of traffic rules and the operation of vehicles, resulting in the death of a person by negligence."

Admitted guilt

As Kharkhorin told RT, only an auto-technical examination was carried out in the case, which showed that at the time of the accident the car was in good order.

“He (Zhuravlev. -

RT

) admitted his guilt.

There is no other evidence of his guilt in the criminal case.

Although during the investigation we filed requests for a comprehensive auto-technical examination in order to establish its speed.

But we were refused, - says the lawyer.

- He says that he was driving at a permitted speed of 60 km / h, however, according to the available video, it is clear that he exceeded the speed.

What it was is to be established during the court hearings. "

The lawyer notes that in May of this year, the relatives of the deceased were afraid that the driver might be declared insane and he would avoid punishment.

However, the fears of the relatives were in vain.

The relatives of the deceased say that no one contacted them after the accident.

“Zhuravlev did not contact my family, did not apologize.

Only his lawyer tried to come to an agreement for some time.

We want the culprit to receive the punishment he deserves.

We lost not only Vanya, but also our grandmother.

After his death, she suffered a heart attack and was unable to recover from a stroke, "Natalya Bulycheva told RT.

In turn, the lawyer of the accused Denis Zhuravlev, after the court session, told RT why his client could not avoid a collision.

“He was driving to work, was distracted by the navigator, he saw a car ahead.

Began to go around it - and that's it.

He walked away from the collision and did not see the pedestrian.

He was not intoxicated.

Everything is in the case file, "the lawyer told RT.

Why Zhuravlev needed a navigator on his usual route to work, the lawyer could not explain.

Zhuravlev himself said that on that day he was snowboarding with friends, and after returning to Moscow, he urgently needed to call in to work.

The next meeting is scheduled for August 20.

RT will follow developments.
