The National Personnel Authority has recommended a reduction in this year's bonuses for government officials for the second consecutive year, in line with private companies that continue to be affected by the new coronavirus.

On the 10th, Governor Kawamoto of the National Personnel Authority made a recommendation to Prime Minister Suga at the Prime Minister's Office regarding the revision of salaries for national civil servants this year.

Of these, when comparing the monthly salary between national government employees and private companies in April, the average monthly salary was only 19 yen higher, which was almost the same, so it remains at the same level as last year and no revision is required. It is said.

On the other hand, the bonus requires that the bonus payment level of private companies be reduced by 0.15 months to 4.3 months per year in line with the decrease due to the influence of the new coronavirus.

The recommendation to reduce bonuses has been for the second consecutive year following last year, and the amount of reduction is 0.1 months larger than last year's recommendation.

If reduced as recommended, the average annual salary of national civil servants will decrease by 62,000 yen for administrative positions to 6,642,000 yen.
