More cases of coronavirus were detected in St. Petersburg per day than in Moscow

This is evidenced by the data of the operational headquarters for combating coronavirus infection COVID-19.

A day earlier, 2,150 cases of coronavirus were detected in Moscow, and 1,895 in St. Petersburg.

In total, 21,378 cases of coronavirus were detected in Russia, the total number of patients with COVID-19 was 6,491,288. 

According to the head of Rospotrebnadzor Anna Popova, in 22 regions of Russia there is a trend towards a steady decrease in the incidence of coronavirus infection.

Microbiologist Vitaly Zverev, scientific director of the Mechnikov Research Institute of Vaccines and Serums, Academician of the Russian Academy of Sciences, in an interview with URA.RU, emphasized the importance of achieving population immunity from coronavirus in the world.
