Forest fires as devastating as in early 2020, drought, flooding and sandstorms could become common weather events in Australia, for which the outlook outlined in

the IPCC report is particularly worrying.

Australia is part of the solution

 "

This morning, Scott Morrison, the Prime Minister at the head of a country which emits per capita three times more greenhouse gases than the average of the G20 countries, nevertheless defended the record of his government.

Australia is part of the solution, Australia is taking its part in this solution and Australia will continue to do more because we understand what this means for our own country,

 " he said.

Scott Morrison, however, refuses for the moment to commit his country to carbon neutrality by 2050. And even if he repeats that Australia is keeping and even exceeding the commitments made within the framework of

the COP21

 ”, he insisted.
