As noted in the Embassy of Belarus, during the meeting at the Ukrainian Foreign Ministry, on the issues raised by the Ukrainian side, including those related to the territorial integrity of Ukraine, "exhaustive comments were given."

“The foreign ministry of Ukraine was once again informed of the deep concern of the Belarusian side about the unfriendly actions of Ukraine towards Belarus, which lead to a crisis in relations between the countries,” the diplomatic mission said.

The diplomat stated that Belarus is interested in normal good-neighborly relations with Ukraine and expressed hope for "the return of the Ukrainian side to the channel of a constructive and respectful dialogue."

On August 9, Belarusian President Alexander Lukashenko said during a press conference that Minsk would recognize Crimea as Russian "when the last oligarch in Russia recognizes Crimea and starts supplying products there."

Ukraine has warned the Charge d'Affaires of Belarus that the statements of the Belarusian president about Crimea can be viewed as "complicity in the Kremlin's crime."

As Russian Foreign Minister Sergei Lavrov said, "the fate and future of Crimea is forever with Russia, whether someone likes it or not."

The Russian authorities, including President Vladimir Putin, have repeatedly stressed that the Crimea issue is closed for Russia.

Crimea became a Russian region after a referendum was held there in March 2014 - the majority of residents were in favor of reunification with Russia.
