The decision was made on Tuesday, August 10 and is valid for one month.

Camera surveillance with drones will take place in Berga, Skäggetorp and City in Linköping.

According to the police, the drones function as a complement to the police who work on site.

- After the recent serious crime, the local police area Linköping has decided to use drones as a complement to the police working in Berga, Skäggetorp and Linköping City.

The police have the right to monitor a place with a camera if there is a risk of serious crime and the purpose of the surveillance is to prevent, deter or detect crime, says Ann-Christine Rehnström, local police area manager in Linköping in a press release.
