  From 16:00 on August 6 to 16:00 on August 8, heavy rain fell to heavy rain in parts of the northeastern, central and southern parts of the Sichuan Basin, the Western Sichuan Plateau and the Panxi region, and heavy rain to extreme rain fell in parts of the northeastern basin, with rainfall ranging from 100 to 250 mm. At 436 stations, the rainfall exceeded 250 mm at 69 stations, and the maximum rainfall was 575 mm at Qingshen Township Station in Quxian County.

  Affected by rainfall, the water levels of 10 tributaries of the Fujiang River, Jialing River, and Qujiang River in Sichuan were over-guaranteed and over-alarm water levels occurred at 14 stations. Among them, 4 rivers exceeded the guaranteed water level at 4 stations.

At 19:00 on the 8th, the Anbei Station of the Yongxinghe River, a tributary of the Qujiang River, exceeded the guaranteed water level by 0.05 meters, the Hanshui River Station and the Guixi River Shuikou Station exceeded the warning water level by 1.48 meters and 0.74 meters, respectively. Tanhe Jinji Station and Huangtanhe Tuanba Station exceeded the warning water level by 0.47 meters, 0.99 meters, and 0.04 meters respectively. Except for Bajiao Station and Jinji Station, the other stations have turned back.

  At 17:00 on the 8th, the Sichuan Provincial Flood Control and Drought Relief Headquarters launched a four-level flood control emergency response.

Affected by heavy rainfall in Reservoir 2, the water level of the Berlin Reservoir in Quxian County of Dazhou rose rapidly, with the highest water level exceeding the flood limit by 2.2 meters. After dispatching and transferring the downstream masses, the water level is currently falling, and all threatened masses have been transferred.

Up to now, Dazhou City has launched a four-level emergency response, and 11 counties (cities, districts) including Dachuan District have launched four-level and above responses, including Dazhu County, Qu County, and Yingshan County, Nanchong City.

The provincial level issued the second phase of the yellow warning of mountain flood disasters and the first phase of the blue warning of mountain flood disasters, and the warning information of mountain flood disasters was issued in various places.
