According to the staff at the Silver Museum in Arjeplog, there is an increased interest in Sami cultural history, especially in connection with pandemics and holidays.

Therefore, they have now tried to help wandering tourists with apps and signs.

- Many people come to Arjeplog to hike.

What we have noticed is that tourists, both from abroad and Sweden, are curious about the culture that once was in the mountain environments they visit, says Malin Brännström, director of the Silver Museum.

At the moment, they are working with a handful of places, including Skärrim, which is located on the border with Norway.

In the autumn, everything is planned to be available to tourists.

- One wonders how the Sami have lived in these landscapes.

With this investment, we want to guide people out of the museum to the mountains, says Malin Brännström, director of the Silver Museum.
