According to Russian media reports on the 9th, 71 new crown patients were receiving treatment in the intensive care unit of the hospital at the time of the accident, and 13 of them were using ventilators.

The Acting Chief Executive of the Republic of North Ossetia, Sergey Menjailo, said that the cause of the accident was a rupture of an oxygen supply pipeline in the basement of the hospital, which interrupted the supply of oxygen.
At present, the rupture of the oxygen supply pipeline has been found, and repair work is about to begin.
The hospital has activated a backup oxygen supply program.
