The weather warning also applies to Kalmar, Kronoberg, Västergötland and Östergötland.

According to SVT's meteorologist Nils Holmqvist, however, thunder can come in a bit everywhere in southern Sweden.

- The warning has gone out for areas where SMHI expects heavier thunderstorms, he says.

Very local

In the wake of the thunder, there is a risk of disturbances in electricity and telephone networks.

And also for torrential rain and thus floods, inaccessible roads and aquaplaning.

It can also quickly inflate really fast.

But exactly where in the area the storm becomes most intense is hard to say.

- For many, it will almost go unnoticed. For others, it becomes very obvious. It can be very local, says Nils Holmqvist.
