Pope Francis has downloaded his green pass.

Or rather, given his unfamiliarity with technology, as he himself has repeatedly pointed out, some of his assistants have endowed the Pontiff with his green certification.

After the recognition by the EU a few days ago, the Vatican too, in fact, in these days is providing all those who have been vaccinated in the small state with the 'green pass'.

And the Pope first, according to what is learned, would have come into possession of his certificate.

If the pass is not required for masses and processions, people work in these hours for non-religious events indoors, inside the Holy See.

The first could be the general audience on Wednesday 11 August.

We are checking whether (and how) to ask the faithful for the green pass, adapting, as has always been done in these months marked by the pandemic, to the Italian legislation.

The Gendarmerie would already be equipped to carry out this type of control

The Vatican Museums adapted immediately, starting from 6 August.

As well as the vaccination certificate will be mandatory for all those who will take part in the events of the next international trip of Pope Francis (12-15 September, Budapest and Slovakia);

the notice has recently arrived from the local church which is organizing the visit.

For the Italian parishes at the moment the rules have not changed much: it remains the obligation to wear a mask during the functions and to maintain the distance. As well as the advice to sanitize your hands and avoid exchanges of peace at mass, as it has already been for over a year. The green pass is required for catering activities related to ecclesial bodies, as well as for diocesan museums and events that take place indoors. However, the real test will be starting from September considering that parish activities in many dioceses are suspended for holidays and summer centers organized for children and young people are in any case exempt from certification.

The situation is different for pilgrimages. The first Italian groups arrived in Lourdes after the long stop due to the pandemic. Journeys of faith are also underway in Medjugorje, in Italian sanctuaries and with caution there were also the first arrivals to the Holy Land. The 'green pass' helps the organization of these journeys of faith even if it is not required to participate in the more spiritual moments, such as masses and processions. Considering the various provisions in force in the countries, in fact, people who have already been vaccinated are currently leaving. Those who have recently arrived in Lourdes, for example, can freely enter the sanctuary complex, participate in masses and processions. But for all other activities,from catering in the sanctuary accommodation to non-strictly religious events indoors, he must still show the certificate. And at the Marian sanctuary in the French Pyrenees, they asked the organizers of the groups to keep the situation under control and to equip all those with a green pass with a recognition "bracelet".

In the Holy Land it is possible to leave in groups, it is compulsory to have had the vaccine but in any case the request is also to perform PCR tests before arrival, upon arrival and before departure, as well as a serological test. moment is holding back the organization of the journey of faith most felt by Christians. The Opera Romana Pellegrinaggi will accompany a group of about 200 faithful to Fatima, Portugal, from 28 to 31 August. "To participate, it is necessary to be in possession of the Green pass - they know from the diocese of Rome - and to have filled in the digital passenger locator form of the European Union: the Passenger locator form (Plf)".
