According to the report, of the two newly confirmed cases in China, one of the first seven nucleic acid tests was negative, and the eighth nucleic acid test was positive.

  According to the report, as of 18:00 on August 7, Zhengzhou City had 2 newly confirmed local cases, 20 cases of asymptomatic infections were transferred to the diagnosis, and 3 new cases of asymptomatic infections were added.

Since July 30, Zhengzhou has reported a total of 40 local confirmed cases and 83 asymptomatic infections.

The above cases are all subject to isolation treatment or centralized isolation medical observation as required.

  Li Huifang, deputy secretary-general of the Zhengzhou Municipal People's Government, introduced at the press conference that night, among the two newly reported cases of local confirmed cases in Zhengzhou, one of them was a doctor from the Sixth People's Hospital of Zhengzhou.

The doctor has been in the unit for centralized closed management since July 31, and was transported to the medical isolation point on August 6.

A total of 8 nucleic acid tests were performed in this case. The first 7 test results were all negative. The test result was positive on August 6 and was reported as a confirmed case at 8:30 on the 7th.

  Li Huifang said: "This case fully demonstrates that the delta mutant virus has the characteristics of high infectivity, high concealment, and atypical initial symptoms. It places higher requirements on our testing, discovery, and reporting, and it is necessary to perform multiple rounds of suppression. We will continue to advance nucleic acid testing to achieve periodic bottoming out of virus-infected persons as soon as possible, race against the virus, and block the spread of the virus in the shortest time."

  Since the discovery of the first positive case on July 30, Zhengzhou City has successively organized and carried out two rounds of nucleic acid tests for all employees from July 31 to August 6.

As of 17:00 on August 7th, the city's second round of nucleic acid testing tasks for all employees has been completed. A total of 10,832,900 people have been tested, and 5 abnormal results have been detected. The review is currently in accordance with the procedures.

  In accordance with the principles of “more precise classification, more focus, more efficiency, and better quality assurance”, Zhengzhou City decided to take the lead in launching the third round of full-staff nucleic acid testing in the mid-to-high-risk area on the morning of August 7.
