Well-known problem

According to the municipality, the perceived insecurity in Eskilstuna is a well-known problem.

Security chief Annica Hagberg says that they work to have visible police and security guards in areas that are perceived as more unsafe.

- Insecurity is subjective, but we take this seriously.

It is above all important to find the reasons behind and to work with them, says Annica Hagberg.

Trosabor safest

The perceived insecurity looks different in the municipalities in Sörmland.

Next after Eskilstuna comes the residents of Katrineholm, where 33 percent answer that they feel insecure.

Of Trosa residents, 19 percent answered that they feel insecure, which is the lowest figure in the county.

Since the survey 2017-2018, the perceived insecurity has increased in all municipalities except Oxelösund and Flen.
