As many water lilies in Sala as last year's record

The first cleansing began just before midsummer and this week the second turn was carried out to get rid of the water lilies. 

- Now it is mostly about clearing away before the seed dispersal, says Joakim Gillerblad, owner of the contractor who performs the work for Sala municipality.

When you get an open water mirror again, the birds return to the ponds.

In some years, water lilies have been cut a third time and the company reckons that the ponds will have to be cleaned next year as well.
