An American scientist's extraordinary response to finding a dying turtle on the road is applauded.

On the 3rd local time, foreign media such as US Newsweek introduced the story of microbiologist Eric Martens living in Ann Arbor, Michigan.

In early June, on the way home from the car, Matens found a turtle on the road.

I quickly got out of the car and looked at the turtle, but it was already dying from being hit by a car in front of me.

Mr. Martens, who had a deep interest in and affection for reptiles enough to raise about 20 snakes, took the turtle home immediately.

The tortoise died soon after, but Mr. Mattens persevered in preparing for emergency surgery.

It was to rescue the eggs that the dead tortoise was holding in the belly.

Mr. Martens discovered that the mother turtle who lived in a nearby pond had an accident while looking for a safe place to lay her eggs.

In fact, when a cesarean section was performed on the turtle, 7 eggs were revealed in an intact state.

Mr. Martens put the turtle eggs in the incubator at home and took care of them.

On the 1st, two months have passed since then, baby turtles started hatching from their eggs.

Martens shared a picture of the turtle on his social media account and explained, "Currently, two pups came out very healthy, and at least three more are likely to be born."

"As soon as the baby turtles fully regain their energy, we will release them in the pond where their mother lived," he said.

For the story of Mr. Matens, who saved a precious life, netizens commented, "It seems that humanity is recovering", "If a person who can perform caesarean section on a turtle has kindness, such a miracle will happen", "It is sad that the mother turtle died, but Matens I was just as lucky to have met Mr."

This is a 'news pick'.
