The head of the branch of the Vector center in Yekaterinburg, Alexander Semyonov, spoke about the case when in Russia one person infected 1.5 thousand people with coronavirus at once.

"In Russia, there is a maximum case of super-siding or super-proliferation, when one person infected 1,500 people at once," Semyonova quotes TASS.

He noted that, according to statistics, one patient with coronavirus, when infected with the standard version of COVID-19, infects from two to three people, with the delta strain - from five to six people, and the super-spreader is much more than the average.

According to him, the coronavirus spreads as much as possible through social contacts, since the infection spreads through airborne droplets.

As Semyonov explained, the proportion of super-spreading cases in some regions can reach 80% or more.

“It is rather difficult to estimate the share of super-distributors in Russia, our country is diverse, and the picture in different regions is variegated.

Therefore, in some regions, in which, for example, mass events are held, where people come without masks, do not observe social distance, crowd, hug, kiss, hang out all together, the share of super-distributors can reach 80% and even more, "Semyonov said.

According to the expert, it is first of all necessary to track such "super-distributors" in regions where there is a sharp dynamics of the incidence rate.

At the same time, he noted that in more or less calm regions there are fewer such people, but still, in most cases, it is people who do not comply with the coronavirus restrictions that become carriers of the virus.

Semyonov gave an example of a cashier without a mask, who wears it on his chin and at the same time contacts hundreds of people.

“Customers usually approach the checkout clearly closer than one and a half meters.

To reduce the risk of infection, in such a situation, it is enough that both the cashier and the customer are wearing masks, in public transport it is the same - everyone is wearing masks, not just a few.

Then no lockdown is needed, ”he concluded.
