“At the request of the investigation, the court in respect of the employees of the temporary detention center of the Russian Ministry of Internal Affairs in Istra, suspected of exceeding their official powers, chose a preventive measure in the form of detention until October 5,” Vradiy told TASS.
Earlier, two employees of the IVS were detained in a criminal case of abuse of power in connection with the escape of five prisoners.
On the night of August 6, five prisoners escaped from the IVS in Istra.
Criminal cases have been initiated.
Private security companies in Istra have been transferred to an enhanced mode of operation.
