For about three years, the Swedish Transport Administration will replace the oblique cables on the Strömsund Bridge.

It is a complicated job and in the meantime the traffic over the bridge will be affected.

Between weeks 31 and 49, the bridge will be closed at 7 pm on Fridays and then open at 5 am on Mondays.

On weekdays, only one lane will be open and traffic will be guided by pilots.

Detour via Ulriksfors

During the time the bridge is closed, traffic will be diverted via road 345 through Ulriksfors.

Blue lights, on the other hand, will be allowed to drive on the bridge as usual, it is also possible to walk or cycle across the bridge.

At the same time, a pedestrian and bicycle path is being built along road 345 and the Swedish Transport Administration announces that there will sometimes be some traffic on the road and therefore asks passers-by to take it easy and think about the speed.

- We hope you take it extra easy and be considerate now when there is a lot of work, says Beisi Sundin, communicator at the Swedish Transport Administration.
