During the summer, there have been several reports of pub crowds around the country.

SVT has taken pictures and videos of club-like conditions at restaurants and outdoor cafes.

Several guests seem to have forgotten the pandemic and are both crowded and dancing - but the Public Health Agency's state epidemiologist Anders Tegnell emphasizes that rules and recommendations still remain.

- In restaurants, you should sit down and be served.

There should be no congestion.

It is a responsibility both for those who run the restaurant and those who are there, says Tegnell in SVT's Morgonstudion.

According to him, dance is impossible to allow if the activities are to follow current recommendations and advice.

"One should not try to find loopholes"

- It is not explicitly forbidden, but both our own and other lawyers that I have spoken to have been completely clear that it is not possible to conduct dance with the existing regulations.

- You are often close to each other in cramped environments when you dance.

Also often indoors, says Tegnell.

Many people find it difficult to keep up with the rules and recommendations that apply.

Have the Swedish Public Health Agency and the government been clear enough?

- I do not think you should try to find loopholes in this to do things that we really know are wrong.

We are all aware that we should not be close to each other for long periods of time, especially not people we do not know, says Tegell.
