- The desire to book an appointment for vaccination decreases a little at the age of 18-29 years.

We see that there is not as high a pressure on the bookings in any case, says Ronny Lestander, vaccine coordinator at Region Västerbotten.

The spread of infection has gained new momentum as the more contagious delta variant of the coronavirus has taken root in the county.

According to the health service, the infection is spread mainly among people aged 20-29 who have not yet been vaccinated.

Reminds of current restrictions

In social media this week, the county administrative board in Västerbotten reminds that all restrictions have not been removed.

Familiar mantras are broken down: "Stay at home in case of symptoms", "Keep your distance", "Avoid congestion" and so on.

Next week, the vaccine booking opens for 16-17-year-olds in the county.

Ronny Lestander hopes for a high booking rate and that even those over 18 who have not yet had time to book will do so - to reduce the spread of infection.

- It's worrying.

We would like a high level of vaccination coverage in these groups, says Ronny Lestander.
