, confirmed by mountain rescue services, a hiker fell over 300 meters in the Aravis sector, on the Savoie side. 

Originally from Doubs, the hiker was leading a group of five people, including her husband, when she stumbled on a steep path in the Pointe du Mandallaz sector and fell about 300 meters to her left, tilting into the void on the Savoie side, in the town of Ugine.

An open investigation

Two rescuers from the Courchevel CRS as well as a doctor from the Mobile Emergency and Resuscitation Service (SMUR) used a Civil Security helicopter to get there.

They had to finish the path to the victim on foot due to the cloudy weather.

Once there, the hiker was unfortunately deceased.

An investigation was opened to determine the circumstances of the accident.
