06 August 2021 Two people died in a fire that developed in San Lorenzo, a town on the slopes of the Aspromonte in the province of Reggio Calabria. It is a 53-year-old woman and a 34-year-old man linked by family ties, in fact the woman was the aunt of the other victim. The bodies of the two victims were found in the olive grove they own, near an agricultural vehicle in the area of ​​the Aspromonte National Park, in the locality of Gutta in the municipality of San Lorenzo, in the province of Reggio Calabria. The two died of burns from the large-scale fire that affected the area, in an attempt to save the land from the flames. According to initial information from the Fire Brigade and the Carabinieri, the flames developed in a forest and subsequently hit a stable, where a man was, and a nearby house where there was a woman.
