“Over the past 24 hours, we have had 98 new fires, and today the civil protection forces extinguished 154 fires throughout the territory,” Hardalias was quoted by TASS.
According to him, the most dangerous fires were recorded in the central region of Attica, on the island of Euboea.
He noted that the government has mobilized all resources to fight the fires.
Earlier, the Federal Agency for Tourism said that the fires in Greece are far from hotels and resorts, which are chosen by Russian tourists.
