- We have a worn facility, but through the refurbishment we hope to reduce the disturbances on the track and increase reliability, says Per Serrander, project manager at the Swedish Transport Administration.

The work on the Viskadal line will cost SEK 1 billion.

This includes, among other things, tearing down the old tracks, installing new rails and replacing the gravel.

The purpose is to make train traffic reliable and reduce the costs of maintaining the track.

For passengers who use the train, replacement buses will be used in the coming year.
