On Wednesday, three Lexus cars were reported stolen from Aneby, Eksjö and Taberg.

The fourth car was stolen in Norrköping on Thursday night.

The car that disappeared in Taberg was later found by a police patrol in Borås, after the owner was able to track his car with the help of GPS.

Then glove compartments and panels were removed.

In all cases, the owners have kept the keys in their possession - the thieves have set off with the cars anyway.

- We have seen this type of car theft of certain brands before, and right now it seems to be Lexus they are focusing on, says police spokesperson Monica Bergström to SVT Nyheter Jönköping.

More thefts in the country

Thefts of the Lexus car brand are happening all over the country right now.

Since 1 July, there have been a total of 23 cars of the same brand.

What can you do to protect yourself as a car owner?

- You should be extra careful.

It is best if you have the opportunity to park in a locked garage.

You can also use a steering wheel lock, and if you have several cars, you can try to park inside the other, so that it is trapped, says Monika Bersgtröm.
