The forest fire 200 km west of Athens is just one of all the fires raging in Greece.

The country has requested international help via the EU and Sweden is now sending aircraft to assist in the extinguishing work.

- It looks very different depending on where you are somewhere.

In central Athens it is quite quiet but in the suburbs, and in other places where it is burning, you can see flames, smoke and ash.

There are destroyed homes, shops and tourist attractions, says Julia Atiyeh, reporter on site in Athens, in SVT's Morgonstudion.
