It was the job that once took Thore Dahl from Karlshamn to Jamaica.

In 1970, he landed on the island he now calls his home.

There he helped build a steam power plant in a factory and in the same crank, a friend with him pulled out to dive.

Since then, there have been over 3,500 dives, along with sharks, moray eels and crocodiles.

- Once when the boat stopped working, I jumped into the water to tow it.

Later I saw two wooden logs sticking up, but it turned out to be crocodiles, says Thore.

"I do not feel fear"

The crocodiles quickly dived below the surface, but Thore remained calm and towed the boat ashore.

- I do not feel fear but take life as it is.

If something happens, it happens.

In the video above, Thore Dahl talks about his encounters with great white sharks and how, as a 78-year-old, he jumped bungee jumps.
