The head of the Ministry of Health, Mikhail Murashko, said that the situation with coronavirus infection in Russia is stabilizing.

He spoke about this during a meeting between President Vladimir Putin and members of the government.

The head of the department noted that the increase in the number of patients under supervision has slowed down in the country as a whole.

The number of people vaccinated against COVID-19 in the country has already reached 38.9 million, the minister stressed.

“Today, 38.9 million people have been vaccinated in the regions, taking into account all departments.

In the last week alone, the number of vaccinated people has increased by 4 million, ”he said.

Murashko said that more than 6 thousand stationary vaccination points and more than 2.5 thousand mobile ones have been deployed in Russia.

53 million doses of vaccines were released into civilian circulation, and the pace of their production more than quadrupled.

More than 900 thousand people are currently under the supervision of doctors due to coronavirus, 78% of them are treated on an outpatient basis.

“There are about 196 thousand people in stationary conditions.

A sufficient number of places and resuscitation protection, but we note that now the course of the disease still requires increased attention of resuscitators.

The number of patients in intensive care units is higher than in previous periods, ”the minister explained.

About 11% of patients hospitalized in Russia with coronavirus infection are in serious condition, he said.

At the same time, in Moscow and in the Moscow region, the number of beds has recently been decreasing due to a decrease in the number of cases.

The total number of beds for patients with COVID-19, deployed by the Ministry of Health together with the regions, is 234 thousand.

He also noted that graduates of medical schools this year have already joined the fight against the pandemic.

“We are very grateful to them for the fact that they even connected to the medical service during their vacation period,” the head of the department said.

At the same time, the leaders in terms of coverage of the population with vaccination against COVID-19 are currently Moscow, the Moscow region, the Belgorod region and the Nenets Autonomous Okrug, Murashko said.

“They already give a total coverage of the adult population at the level of 50%,” he said.

At the same time, the rate of vaccination against coronavirus infection is highest in the Arkhangelsk, Belgorod, Pskov and Samara regions, as well as in Ingushetia and Chechnya, Murashko said during the meeting.

At the same time, the Minister of Health drew attention to the fact that in some regions the situation with the spread of coronavirus remains alarming.

“However, in other regions, we see that the situation remains tense and an increase (in the number of cases of coronavirus -

) is noted.

The Republic of Tyva, Komi, Sevastopol, Magadan Oblast, Astrakhan Oblast, as well as Samara and Krasnodar Territory cause the greatest concern in our country today, ”he said.

The minister also announced the need to continue the prevention of coronavirus among people over 60 years old.

At the same time, he drew attention to the tendency of an increase in the number of sick young people.

“But here's another such important thing that we paid much attention to the vaccination of older people, and this really has an effect, since the decrease in the incidence among the population over 60 years old is noted precisely due to the previously carried out vaccination in the spring and early summer period.

At the same time, it is imperative to continue prophylaxis in groups over 60 years old, this is our emphasis and priority for all institutions of the health care system, ”the minister emphasized.

In addition, the head of the Ministry of Health again called on Russians to get vaccinated against COVID-19 before the onset of the flu season.

“It is the preventive direction that allows us to avoid the rise in morbidity, severe course, and the entire medical service is primarily focused on this,” he said.

Recall that mass vaccination against coronavirus began in Russia on January 18.

Citizens of the country can be vaccinated with one of the four registered vaccines in the country: "Sputnik V" and "Sputnik Light" Center.

Gamaleya, "Epivakkorona" developed by the Novosibirsk center "Vector" and "Kovivak" by the Chumakov Center of the Russian Academy of Sciences.

During the meeting, Vladimir Putin stressed that the Russian authorities must respond to the changing situation with the spread of the coronavirus.

He also noted that the best regional vaccination practices need to be introduced throughout Russia.

“In some regions, vaccination is proceeding at a fairly fast pace, in others it is slower.

It is necessary to generalize the best practices and implement them throughout the entire Russian Federation, in all constituent entities, ”Putin said.

Antibodies in those vaccinated with "Sputnik V"

The Minister of Health of the Republic of San Marino, Roberto Ciavatta, in an interview with RT, said that all those vaccinated with the Sputnik V coronavirus vaccine had antibodies.

He stressed that this can be seen by looking at the dynamics of the incidence of coronavirus in the country in March and April.

“At that time, we were overwhelmed by a pandemic, there was a serious influx of COVID-19 cases in hospitals.

And then, about a week after the introduction of the second component of "Sputnik V" to the population, beds began to be vacated in our hospitals - and the incidence rate in the country began to decline.

Now in the Republic of San Marino there are no hospitalized coronavirus patients at all, ”the minister said.

He also spoke about the approval procedure for Sputnik V by the European Medicines Agency, stressing that there are political factors in the fact that the EMA has not yet approved the drug.
