Meanwhile, Ennahda’s Shura Council called for turning the country’s recent actions of President Kais Saied into an opportunity for reform, and the council said, in a brief statement posted on the movement’s official Facebook page, that “we must turn the measures of last July 25 into an opportunity for reform, and it must be a stage of reform.” stage of democratization.

Earlier on Wednesday evening, Ennahda's Shura Council began an exceptional consultation session to discuss the general situation in the country, after 10 days of measures taken by President Said, which caused a sharp political division.

The movement's head and parliament speaker, Rashid Ghannouchi, had previously described President Said's move, which included freezing parliament and causing a major political crisis, as a coup.

Earlier, the leader of the Ennahda movement, Muhammad al-Qumani, said that the movement will review its mistakes and apologize to the Tunisian people for those mistakes, but not under blackmail, as he described it. Qawmani added that the movement is ready to compromise in order to prepare the country for early elections.

In turn, the leader of the Ennahda movement and the former minister, Mohamed bin Salem, said that the Ennahda Shura Council will work to delegate the powers of the movement's president, Rashid Ghannouchi, to a new leadership that is acceptable to public opinion.
