According to TASS, prices for fruit and vegetable products in Russia for the week from July 27 to August 2 of this year decreased by an average of 3.1%.

“The tendency to decrease in prices is noticeable both among manufacturers and retail chains, while the most significant decrease in prices was recorded at farmer's markets and weekend markets,” the agency quotes the words of Deputy Minister of Industry and Trade Viktor Yevtukhov.

Compared to the previous week, prices for carrots decreased by more than 11%, for potatoes - by about 6.5%, for onions - by about 1%.

Earlier, Russian Prime Minister Mikhail Mishustin said that the Russian government will continue to closely monitor the situation with prices for products and services.
