A woman in her 90s died in January this year and two wills that have been drawn up state that her inheritance of just over four million kronor would go to political parties in the county.

According to the first will, which was drawn up on 10 August 2018, the inheritance would go to the Healthcare Party, if it entered the regional council.

If this were not the case, the party's chairman Morgan Malmborg would become the heir.

It reports the news agency Sirén.

Lawsuit submitted to the district court

According to the second will drawn up on 27 September 2019, 25 percent of the woman's inheritance will go to the local party Habodemokraterna and 75 percent to the party's chairman, who in that case is Morgan Malmborg.

The Chamber of Deputies is now demanding that Jönköping District Court declare the documents invalid as wills and that the inheritance of SEK 4.2 million should go to the General Inheritance Fund.

Exactly why the Chamber of Deputies wants to annul the wills is unclear.

Due to holiday periods and the fact that the case needs further investigation, the board wants a postponement until 31 August to complete the application for a summons.

Malmborg answers

Morgan Malmborg writes in an email to SVT that there is nothing strange in the wills being blamed but that this is what happens. He emphasizes that the older woman was very clear that she did not want to let her estate go to the General Heritage Fund.
