Permanent Representative of Russia spoke about the possibility of holding a summit with the EU

“As for the long-term or - let's be optimists - the medium-term, I fully admit that this initiative will not just stall,” Chizhov said.

According to him, "Germany and France have a number of supporters in this matter." 

The Russian permanent representative stressed that Russia will not come up with an initiative to hold such a summit.

In June, Russian Foreign Minister Sergei Lavrov commented on the proposal of France and Germany to hold a Russia-EU summit.

According to him, Moscow does not know the details of the initiative.
