A total of 296,707 East Goths who are 18 years or older have now received the first dose of the vaccine against covid-19, which is 80 percent of the East Goths in the age group.
Region Östergötland writes this in a press release.
At the same time, 55 percent are fully vaccinated in the county.
- It is positive and important that the vaccination rate in the county is high.
At the same time, the number needs to increase further to reduce the risk of a fourth wave this autumn, says Kaisa Karro (S), chair of the regional board, on the region's website.
Still free time
The region also announces that there are still plenty of free times for vaccination at the vaccination centers in Östergötland and that there is an opportunity to get drop-in vaccination in Norrköping on Wednesday and in Motala all week.
The next group to be offered vaccination time is young people aged 16-17, who can receive their first dose from Friday, 6 August.
