More than four thousand candidates registered in the elections to the State Duma

"To date, 11 federal lists of political parties out of 15 have been registered, which include 3,011 candidates," TASS quoted her as saying at a meeting of the CEC.

As noted by Pamfilova, the parties also nominated 1,491 candidates in single-mandate constituencies.

The head of the CEC added that at the moment 26 out of 30 political parties "actually participate in the electoral race in elections at all levels."

Earlier it was reported that the Central Election Commission received more than 16 thousand applications from Russians about their desire to take part in remote electronic voting in the September elections.
