Between the newcomer Amazon, the historic Canal + and great uncertainty about Ligue 1, the French viewer will have to increase subscriptions this season if he wants to follow all the football competitions.
Ligue 1: Amazon and…?
The e-commerce giant Amazon will broadcast 8 matches per day of Ligue 1 - the Sunday multiplex (3 p.m.), the Sunday evening match (8:45 p.m.), that of Sunday at midday (1 p.m.) and that of Friday (9 p.m. ) - including in particular the 10 best posters of the season.
For the two other matches per day of Ligue 1 (Saturday 9:00 p.m. and Sunday 5:00 p.m.), it is a total blur: beIN Sports is the holder of this famous "lot N.3", but the Qatari channel has sublicensed it to Canal +, which should normally broadcast it until 2024. Except that the encrypted channel refuses to do so at this price, just like beIN.
Several court decisions are expected in the days preceding the first day and it is not impossible that the broadcaster of these matches will change during the season.
Price: 12.99 per month for the Premier Video Ligue 1 pass, to be added to an Amazon Prime subscription (5.99 euros per month or 49 euros per year).
Ligue 2: the L'Equipe channel, Amazon and beIN Sports
Thanks to an agreement with Amazon, the L'Equipe channel, available on TNT channel 21, will broadcast the Ligue 2 multiplex throughout the season, most of the time on Saturdays at 7 p.m.
The eight matches in this multiplex are also available in full on the L'Equipe website and app until the end of September.
Then, only the multiplex will remain on the L'Equipe channel, while the entire matches will be broadcast on Prime Video.
The other two matches of each day (Saturday at 3:00 p.m. and Monday at 8:45 p.m.) are broadcast on beIN Sports.
The Team: free.
Amazon: 12.99 per month for the Amazon Prime Video Ligue 1 pass, to be added to an Amazon Prime subscription (5.99 euros per month or 49 euros per year).
beIN Sports: 15 euros per month.
Champions League: Canal +, RMC Sport and beIN Sports
The Champions League is entering a new round of rights (2021-2024) this season.
Canal + has won the two best matches of each week, which it will co-broadcast with RMC Sport, as well as the final.
All other matches will be broadcast by beIN Sports, which is making a comeback as a C1 broadcaster.
The final in the clear will be on TF1.
Canal +: 21.99 euros per month (24-month commitment or digital subscription without commitment) or 26.99 euros per month (12-month commitment).
beIN Sports: 15 euros per month.
RMC Sports: 19 euros per month (12-month commitment) or 25 euros per month without commitment for the digital subscription, 9 euros per month (12-month commitment) or 15 euros per month without commitment for SFR box customers.
Europa League and Europa League Conference: W9, Canal + and RMC Sport
For the C3 and the new Europa Conference League, Canal + and the M6 group, via its W9 channel, will co-broadcast the best match of each week, to choose from between the two competitions.
They will also broadcast the final of these two competitions, making 16 matches in all during the season.
RMC Sport will broadcast all the other matches.
Foreign championships: Canal +, RMC Sport, beIN Sports ...
The English Championship will be co-broadcast by Canal + and RMC Sport, like the previous season.
The Spanish and German championships will remain on beIN Sports.
As for the Italian Serie A, it does not yet have an official broadcaster, with beIN's contract expiring this summer.
French teams: TF1, M6 group and Canal +
The matches of the French men's team are all broadcast unencrypted, on TF1 or M6.
The French women's team is broadcast on W9, except during the Ladies' Euro in July 2022, which will be co-broadcast by Canal + and TF1.
Coupe de France: France Télévisions and Eurosport
The Coupe de France is broadcast in clear on France Télévisions, which has a multiplex of five matches during the 32nd finals, then the best match of each round thereafter.
Eurosport for its part broadcasts the entire competition.
Eurosport price: from 6.99 euros per month (12-month commitment) via the digital offer or via the Canal + Sport Pack.
Women's D1: Canal +
All of the women's D1 is broadcast on the channels of the Canal + group.
