A man died on Wednesday after falling from a skyscraper in Niederrad.
The fire brigade announced that they were on duty shortly before 6 p.m. due to an apartment fire in the Im Mainfeld housing estate on an 18-storey high-rise.
There was a fire in an apartment on the 8th floor.
Apparently, a resident tried to save himself on the balcony and then fell from there before the fire department arrived.
According to the fire brigade, numerous emergency calls had been received that reported a jump.
Despite the care by the ambulance service, the man died.
