Dumped petrol cans are being investigated after the church fire

- We have seized the cans to examine them, says Richard Finndahl, head of preliminary investigations at the police.

Richard Finndahl does not want to comment on how many cans it is about.

The police received tips about the dumped petrol cans during yesterday, something that P4 Jönköping was the first to tell.

Now the cans will be examined to see if there may be a connection to the church fire in Vättersnäs when Ansgariikyrkan was completely destroyed.

Preliminary investigation leader Richard Finndahl does not currently want to comment on whether there are suspicions that the church fire may have been started.

On Wednesday, police technicians and fire dogs worked at the fire site to secure any traces that could determine the cause of the fire.
