China News Service, August 4th. Wang Zhihua, Director of the Emergency Mitigation and Public Service Department of the China Meteorological Administration, introduced the August national climate trend forecast, as well as flood prevention and disaster mitigation and agricultural production recommendations at the August press conference of the China Meteorological Administration on the morning of the 4th. .

Wang Zhihua said that it is expected that in August, my country's climate conditions will still be biased.

From the perspective of rainfall, it is expected that in early August, my country will be dominated by rain in the south, and precipitation in Jiangnan, South China, and southern Southwestern regions will be more than normal during the same period of the year.

There were thunderstorms in North China and Northeast China, and strong convective weather such as strong winds and hail around the 5th.

It is expected that in mid-August, there will be a rainy belt in the south and north of China, and there will be more precipitation in most areas south of the Yangtze River, parts of the northwest, central and eastern Inner Mongolia, parts of the northeast, and most of North China.

It is expected that in late August, my country will be dominated by rain in the north, and there will be more precipitation in parts of North China, the east and west of Northwest China, parts of Inner Mongolia, and parts of Northeast China.

Judging from the situation of typhoons, it is estimated that 4-6 tropical cyclones (central wind force ≥8) may be generated in the Northwest Pacific and South China Sea in August, which is close to the same period of normal year (5.8), and there are 2~3 of them. The landing of a tropical cyclone may significantly affect the southern and southeastern coastal areas of my country, the main line west of the path of the landing typhoon, and the northward typhoon may affect the northern part of my country in the middle and late ten days.

In terms of temperature, it is expected that in August, the temperature in most parts of the country will be close to the same period of normal year or higher. Among them, the central and western parts of the northwestern region, Tibet, the northern and eastern parts of the southwestern region, etc. will be 1-2°C higher.

Periods of high temperature heat waves may occur in Huanghuai, Jianghuai, Jiangnan, South China and other places.

It is expected that in the next week, there will still be more high-temperature weather above 35℃ in the western part of Jiangnan and western southern China, and it is expected that the high temperature situation will gradually ease after August 10.

Wang Zhihua pointed out that the tropical depression in the South China Sea formed on the sea surface of eastern Zhanjiang, Guangdong on the afternoon of August 2, and strengthened to the 9th typhoon "Lubi" this year at 8 am on the 4th. It is about 335 kilometers southwest of the junction, and currently has a wind force of 8 at the center.

It is expected that "Lu Bi" will move northeastward at a speed of about 10 kilometers per hour. It will land on the coast from Lufeng, Guangdong to Jinjiang, Fujian on the morning of the 5th. After landing, the intensity will weaken and it will move into the East China Sea during the day on the 7th. The southern sea surface gradually moves to the northeast.

Affected by it,

From the 4th to the 6th, most of the South China Sea, the Bashi Strait, the southern part of the Taiwan Strait, the east of Taiwan, the central and eastern parts of Guangdong, the southern part of Fujian, and the southern coast of Taiwan Island will have 6-7 strong winds, of which some winds in the northeastern part of the South China Sea can reach 8-9 level, 10-11 level gusts.

In addition, from the 4th to the 7th, there were heavy to heavy rains in the eastern and southern parts of the Yangtze River and the central and eastern parts of South China. Among them, there were heavy rainstorms in parts of southeastern Zhejiang, eastern Fujian, eastern and southern Guangdong, and Taiwan Island. The rainfall is 30-80 mm, 150-250 mm in some areas, and 300-400 mm in local areas.

At the press conference, Wang Zhihua also put forward several suggestions for flood prevention and disaster mitigation and agricultural production.

First, it is recommended to continue to do a good job in flood prevention and disaster reduction.

In August, my country will show two rain belts in the north and south. It is expected that the rainfall in Inner Mongolia, Northeast China, North China, eastern Northwest China, northern Huanghuai, Jianghuai, Jiangnan, and northern South China will be higher than normal. It is necessary to prevent heavy rainfall in the above areas and their potential Induced urban waterlogging, small and medium river floods and mountain torrent geological disasters.

The second is to do a good job of typhoon defense.

Tropical cyclone activities in the Northwest Pacific and South China Sea are in an active period. South China, Jiangnan and other places in my country need to make preparations for typhoon prevention.

The third is to prevent the adverse effects of high temperature weather.

It is expected that in August, Huanghuai, Jianghuai, Jiangnan, South China and other places may have phased high-temperature heat waves, and it is necessary to strengthen prevention of its impact on human health, water and power supply and other aspects.

Fourth, it is recommended to do a good job in preventing and reducing agricultural disasters.

It is expected that in August, temperatures in Northeast China, eastern Northwest China, and most of North China will be close to normal or high, and precipitation will be relatively high. Water and heat conditions are generally conducive to the growth and development of autumn crops and yield formation. However, it is necessary to prevent farmland waterlogging caused by local heavy rainfall. .

The temperature in most parts of Huanghuai is relatively high and the precipitation is close to normal, which is conducive to the drainage of waterlogging and moisture in the soil and the restoration of crop growth.

The temperature in the central-eastern part of Inner Mongolia and the northern part of North China is relatively low, and it is necessary to prevent crops from becoming greedy and late-maturing.

Jianghuai, Jianghan, Jiangnan, and South China need to take precautions against possible high temperature and heat damage to rice, cotton, vegetables, and fruit trees.
