According to Bison Futé's forecasts, many French people will find themselves in traffic jams on the holiday route, this weekend again: Saturday is classified red throughout France, and black in the Auvergne-Rhône-Alpes region.

However, traffic will be normal on Sunday.

Road traffic will be dense in France this weekend, particularly in the direction of holiday departures with a Saturday classified as red (very difficult), according to forecasts published Wednesday by Bison Futé.

Traffic will be even more complicated on Saturday in the Auvergne-Rhône-Alpes region, classified black (extremely difficult) in the direction of the departures.

Difficulties "in the Rhône valley on the A7 motorway"

For the rest of the weekend, the whole of the territory is classified orange (difficult) in the direction of departures on Friday and in the direction of returns on Saturday, except in the Mediterranean arc, classified red. Traffic will be usual in France on Sunday, only the Mediterranean arc is classified orange in the direction of departures and returns on this day. "This weekend corresponds to the second crossover of the summer between the Juillettistes and the Augustiens", explains the press release of Bison Futé.

The main difficulties are to be expected on Saturday, in particular on "the A10, A9, A20 and A62 motorways" and "in the Rhône valley on the A7 motorway". In Ile-de-France, Bison Futé recommends leaving or crossing the region before 2 p.m. on Friday in the direction of departure (before 6 a.m. or after 3 p.m. on Saturday) and to cross or join the region before 2 p.m. on Saturday in the direction of departure returns.
