About 10,000 people have been evacuated after a massive wildfire that has engulfed southern Turkey for the seventh day.

The fire started on the 28th of last month in Antalya, southern Turkey.

Due to the local dry weather and strong winds, it quickly spread to neighboring areas such as Muulla, and in the process, eight people lost their lives.

"About 10,000 people have been evacuated in the Murla province alone," Turkish Interior Minister Suleyman Soylu said.

Turkey's Ministry of Agriculture and Forestry said that 145 fires were extinguished on the 3rd local time, and 9 are still being extinguished.
