There were quick throws for the firefighters who left the county during the weekend.

On Monday afternoon, they returned and landed in Lycksele after new risk assessments.

- We look at the fire risks several times a week.

When we looked at the end of last week, they had decreased, but this morning there would be high fire risks between Östersund up to the Finnish border in Norrbotten, so we are sending more resources, says Roger Gustafsson, project manager at MSB, the authority for civil protection and emergency preparedness.

It is common for them to be moved around

MSB makes new assessments three times a week, which may result in the resources having to be moved around.

- If the fire risks are reduced, we will move them further. Weather data controls our assessment, which makes it difficult with a longer forecast and therefore there can be quick jerks.
