On July 29, the Chinese government aided the completion of the Phipasig River EP Bridge and opened to traffic.

The EP bridge project is a demolition of the old and new projects. The new bridge spans the banks of the Pasig River and connects Mandaluyong City and Makati City. It has a two-way four-lane road. The length of the main bridge is about 146 meters and the length of the route is about 506 meters. After opening to traffic, the average daily traffic volume will reach 50,000.

The project owner is the Philippine Department of Public Works and Highways (DPWH), which is general contracted by China Road and Bridge Engineering Co., Ltd., designed by China Communications Highway Planning and Design Institute Co., Ltd., and supervised by Philippine enterprises.
