"Of this amount, 940 million will go to the reconstruction of the tunnel water conduit on the southern coast of the peninsula, 1.36 billion to overhaul the water conduit in the Simferopol region of the republic," the statement says.

The Ministry of Economic Development was instructed to conclude an agreement with the republican authorities on the provision of subsidies within 30 days.

Earlier, Russian Deputy Prime Minister Marat Khusnullin said that a two-year supply of fresh water has been accumulated in Crimea.

In May, the "Kryminform" agency reported that the head of Crimea, Sergei Aksyonov, said that two additional reservoirs could be built for the needs of Simferopol and Alushta.
