Saudi Foreign Minister Faisal bin Farhan announced that his country was discussing with the United States Iran's activities and their obstruction of maritime navigation, and said that his country had put forward an initiative to solve the Yemen crisis, but the Houthis rejected it. He also indicated that the relationship with Qatar had improved after the Al-Ula agreement.

Today, Tuesday, the Saudi minister told an American research center via the Internet that he believes that Iran has become more emboldened and that it is pursuing negative methods throughout the Middle East, and endangering maritime navigation, as well as arming the Houthis and being involved in the political impasse in Lebanon.

"Across the region, Iran continues to act more boldly," the minister added, coinciding with reports that Iranian-backed forces had seized an oil tanker off the coast of the UAE.

Faisal bin Farhan added that his country is discussing with the United States issues of concern to both parties, such as Iran's activities and its obstruction of maritime navigation.

"We will support the nuclear agreement with Iran if it ensures that Iran does not obtain nuclear weapons," the Saudi foreign minister added.

On another subject, Faisal bin Farhan said that his country had put forward an initiative to solve the Yemen crisis, and offered a ceasefire settlement, but the Houthis did not accept.

With regard to Gulf relations, the Saudi Foreign Minister said that the Al-Ula agreement led to the resolution of differences and proved its effectiveness in strengthening the unity of Gulf cooperation.

He added, "The relationship with Qatar is very good, and we continue to work together on a number of issues and strengthen the Gulf Cooperation Council."
